2nd Shots – Intro to Concealed Carry 9/21/2024

This is a hands on introduction to building confidence for concealed carry. Topics to be covered include: range safety, methods and considerations for concealed carry, equipment and setup considerations, as well as your legal rights, responsibility, and potential liability when carrying and acting in self-defense.  Then the instructor will lead you in some simple drills at the firing line working to improve marksmanship and leaning how or improving upon the skills of safely and accurately drawing from the holster to shoot.

Required Equipment:

• eye and ear protection
• Handgun in good working order.
• Strong side outside the waist band (OWB) Holster.
• 200 rounds of range ammo
• 2 spare magazines
• Spare magazine pouch / holder (belt worn)
• Sturdy Belt
• Clothing suitable to temperatures / weather
• Water and Snacks

Optional Equipment:

• Sunscreen
• Notepad and Pen/Pencil

Instructor: Neel Burnett – Neel has been an NRA Certified Handgun instructor and Range Safety Officer for since 2016. He has experience training in both the group and individual settings.  He is an IAHSS Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor in his career as a Security Coordinator at a local hospital and holds the following certifications
